I just like all accents, to be honest. Though, to answer the French one... I lost my American accent when I speak French, but only after years of study and speaking with my family. It made my life when I went to France and they all thought I was an ex-pat. :D

Hehe! My brother said he used to do that when he worked at Trader Joes. Except one time someone asked him where he was from and he was all, "Umm, here," and the guy was actually British and looked kinda mad. xD Oh well. If I were a cashier I would totally do that. I would spend a portion of my free time trying to learn at least British, Cockney, and Australian (my personal favourites) so I could check people out like that. :D

there is no such thing as a British accent, but the one you're probably thinking about is the English Home Counties accent or Queen's English. they're the typical accents most Americans percieve as British.
