MyLifeIsAverage

Life is pretty normal today.
Today, after waiting for months, I went to an orphanage to adopt a child. The first child I was introduced to was in a full batman costume. We had an in-depth conversation about Gothams crime status, and his recent encounters with the joker. Guess who i'm bringing home? MLIA

this is so fake & I don't understand how no one else has caught on and is saying how cute this is. Orphanages are NOT puppy pounds. You don't just go to the orphanage, look over all the different children there, get introduced to them, choose one and take them home. Are you serious? I have adopted sisters and adoption is a long, serious task that involves so much more than this. How would the other children feel if you just went and looked around and talked with them and then took another child? SO fake & sad.

You are right about the pound thing but I think what this meant was that she was going to adopt the kid, not that she just signed some quick paperwork and left with a kid :) maybe you're right though

I agree about the "pound" thing, but I also think this is post is true. I think the poster was just trying to simplify things, 'cause I highly doubt anyone would want to hear about the long process of adopting. Cut story =)

at least she got her child. I am just happy it all worked out for them.

^ Agreed! Adoption does NOT work like that. My little brother is adopted, and no, you don't get to "pick" one. Even though this story isn't true, it is kinda cute =)

You are a very nice person to adopt a child- :] Best of luck

[ - ]  michaelsgirlGood: 1Bad: 31 year, 9 months ago
Assuming this is true, it probably didn't happen in America. I'm probably one of the few people that don't find this story cute, either way. Although, it is sweet that they chose adoption, not something a lot of people do anymore unless they have to.

[ - ]  kiwi456Good: 2Bad: 21 year, 8 months ago
umm it said "I" so it's probably a single parent and i happen to think it's awesome she wanted to do that.

[ - ]  michaelsgirlGood: 0Bad: 011 months ago
Adoption is awesome but s/he makes it sound like you just go in and pick one and that's not how it works.

[ - ]  margret_the_armadilloGood: 0Bad: 91 year, 9 months ago
You chose your kid based on his knowledge of movies?...sad

[ - ]  kiwi456Good: 7Bad: 01 year, 8 months ago
