I have two grandparents who died of cancer, so please don't get all outraged at me, but...this should not be what this site is about! Seriously, there are way too many of these posts. Yes, cancer is sad. But using it to get a post on MLIA is pretty pathetic. If you really want to do a tribute to somebody, have some dignity and post an actually original story, and dedicate it to them. Or go buy some flowers and put it on their grave, or write a poem about them, or tell stories about them to keep their memory alive. Don't be an attention whore to get a story posted, it sullies their memory.

Mkay everyones talking about how they know peoplewho have passed away because of cancer. Well here something a bit brighter, my mom was diagnosed withbreast cancer this past November of 2009 and honestlyit was unexpected that it was devastating! We were all scared and mostly because we didn't know what was going to happen or what was going on. She went to her docto and was told that she would have a double mastectomy which was hard to handle. We had everyone praying for her and even my dads dealers. Co-workerhadtheir churches praying. She thendecided to get a second opinion from another doctor and this visit was much more appealing. She was told that she wouldntevenneed a mastectomy because cancer was only in one breast and she would just have a lumpectomy which a smaller and less noticeable surgery. She then went on to do radiation and finished that a couple weeks ago. It is now February 2010 and my mom is cancer free. I did a lot of crying duringthat period but that moment that we found out she was cancer free was the hardest I've ever cried in my life.

that is an awesome story....i had a friend that had cancer she got it early on after her mother got breast cancer....she had it bad and basically uncurable...she did pass but she had i lot of new experiences because of her cancer and she was happy till the day she passed i will always remember you laura....i tell you this not to make you sad just to help you to remember to have fun.... :)
