Today we lost power at my school. Everyone was silent in the darkness until my friend laughed maniacally and shouted "At last the tables have turned!" He is blind. MLIA
most blind people can still tell differences in the amount of light in the area. in fact, in many cases the eyes are overly-sensitive to light, hence the dark glasses. so research before commenting like a jackass next time.
source: my blind father.
That's the reason they're dark (we obviously don't care either way), but the reason we wear glasses at all is to avoid being poked in the eye. We cannot see, but trust me the pain receptors in our eyes are just as sensitive as yours.
I really wonder if any one ever thought that maybe he just asked what happened. . .
then who was phone?
Also, bats can see just as well as humans can. Bats have terrible eyesight, yes, but only compared to other animals. We, too, have terrible eyesight compared to everyone else. The only thing that sets us apart is the lump of putty in our heads that stichezz up there seems to be lacking. ...I'm not sure why I posted the 'bat' thing, just thought I just thought it had to be said.
Well I'm sure at least one person said something about the lights being off before they were dead silent.
Depends on what type of blindness the person has, and even with total blindness they can, if there is any eyes left to them, detect changes in light.
And what if other people told him... people react if the power goes down.
Yay rupsbant. Yours is a rare kind of wisdom...common sense.
Well everyone going silent is kind of a response don't you think?
Also many lamps make sounds when switched on/off, so there's another clue.
Blind people are perceptive like that I hear...
