MyLifeIsAverage - Life is pretty normal today

I don't check behind my shower curtain for murderers, or leap to my bed in the dark to make sure the monsters don't get me. But I do slam my bedroom door against the wall every time I go into my room to make sure no one is hiding behind it. That way, if there is someone, they get momentarily stunned, and I can make a get away. MLIA

My problem with this tactic is if someone was behind your door, your door would hit them, then slam shut. How can you get away when the door is closed? You actually just put yourself in an enclosed space with that creepy person. Good luck with that :-)

Well, they'd be outside of their room when they slam the door open. So, if the door slams shut, then they can just run away or something, and the creeper would have to open the bedroom door...
