getting married is a big thing. maybe you have to date first before getting married. marriage is a huge commitment. imagine bff to married. when you get married expectto start something like a family or a home. this is a big choice. he must be REALLY sweet to do this :) its your choice. do what you feel is right.

Despite the fact that I totally disagree with you asking strangers to tell him yes or whatever it is you are trying to do here... if you are best friends and have been for so long, it would probably be a great relationship.
