Eh, I thought it was a pretty good joke. Nice set up, good delivery, simple, makes sense, but not too predictable, yet it drew from pervious knowledge; it was specific to IWYV. But it wasn't insulting IWYV, it was insulting OPs. I liked it.
Fail Name Meaning and History
1. Scottish: reduced form of McPhail. Black suggests that it may also be a habitational name from Fail in Ayrshire.
2. Northern English (Scottish Borders): Reaney has it as a nickname from Old French faille 18erring 19 or 18failure 19, but a more probable source is the southern Scots dialect adjective fail, meaning 18frail 19 or 18weak 19.
3. Altered spelling of French Faile.
4. Altered spelling of German F Fehl, variants of Feil.
Hey Parfait, how is my friend doing? While I have your attention, will you do me a quick favor and tell me what BCF's real name is? I lost it somewhere in all the papers on my desk.
I suppose that if it wasn't an adjective, Epic would be quite a nice name. A bit like a variation of Erik or Eric (depending on your spelling which is reliant on whether you like The Phantom of the Opera or The Little Mermaid. I'm a Phangirl myself :) )
