Last week, I forgot I had a test. It was all multiple choice so I answered "ACDC" down the whole page. Today, I got the test back; I got 87%. Thank you classic rock. MLIA
Agreed. Although, in my experience, just because a person "forgets a test" doesn't mean they don't know enough on the subject to make educated guesses.
When in doubt, pick C. It's proven that the most likely answer is C. Not always though. My math teacher told me that. Too bad I got a 67% on his final. lol
Hahaha, funny you mention that! I had a maths exam today (VCE (Google it), massively important), and there was only one question I had to guess, so I went with C for your aforementioned reasons, and also because it would be the first C for the module. I then found out afterwards from someone who knew the answer that it was in fact C. =P I felt extremely awesome.
Seriously? You didn't answer the ones you knew for sure, and guess on the ones you weren't sure on? Sorry, but answering "ACDC" without regards to the questions and answers is kind of dumb.
13/15 is 86.67, so if there were 15 questions, the probability of 13 of 15 correct answers with responses being ACDCACDCACDCA (or three sets of ACDC answers with one randomly inserted answer [assuming that one is correct] and having 12/14 in the ACDC sets) aren't exactly impossible.
Also, it's safe to reason that this person knew about half of the answers, and did not know the other half, and it just so happens that (s)he saw a pattern and could make the ACDCAC... In that case, this person is randomly guessing on 7 answers, and got 5 correct. The odds on that are still slim (.00549%) but not unlikely, and increase greatly with each correct response known. We're also not considering the process of elimination on individual questions, etc.
My dad told me when he was younger and forgot to study for his tests, he'd just pick one letter and stick with it all the way through. It's bound to get some questions right.
Today is Monday not only in New Zealand, but in Australia, Japan, the Koreas, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, parts of Russia and the list goes on.
The world is round. Well, technically, egg-shaped.
I was wondering if your teacher's name is Ms. Norman or Mrs. Gill, she may be married already and if she teaches history, also do you live in Massachusetts? I had a teacher by the name of Ms. Norman and her favorite band is ACDC and she would have that on all her tests!!!
its funny because whenever i am taking multiple choices tests I always check afterward to see if any of the rows spell out ACDC it has only happened once and i was super happy when it did
But once on a test last year one of the questions was about Evermore, and it asked SOMETHING about if there was a battle around it or whatever, so I remembered Led Zepplin's "Battle of Evermore" and put "yes". I was wrong, though?! D: *sigh*
Totally not shenanigans. I got the dates mixed up for an ACT exam last year, and so didn't study at all for the math part (only part I study on, I SUCK at math). I answered the -few- questions I knew, but for the rest I just made a zig-zag pattern.
Highest math score I got out of all the ACTs I took.
Kinda upset me, all the times I studied and got crap scores, I play the 'Make A Design' game and get the score I want. Lol.
dude, someone just told me they did this. I can't remember who it was or I'd be like "HEY _____(Insert name here)!" dang....well, if you go to Reynolds....
Comments
But at least I read the questions, so when I'm sure I may have to modify and add something like BBC.
you would have gotten a hundred
Well I prefer Led Zeppelin 2 and Led Zeppelin 3 , but y'know.. xD
I agree with you, but those two sentences kind of contradict each other, no?

ACDC is awesome. I'm now listening to Don't Tread on Me.

But stereotypes are bad :(
I do it all the time ;)

It's plausible.
