Last night, I was really hot in bed, so I took one leg out of the covers. Then I got scared because it was too dark and my leg felt unprotected from somthing hiding under my bed. So I put it back under the blankets. MLIA

I do this too. When I was young and learning how to read, I had this one little book where a boy has a bad dream that aliens came in and tickled his feet, but it was really just his mom. It still creeps me out ten years later, and I can't sleep comfortably with my legs and feet exposed .

i have the same problem. everyone seems to find it odd that i wear socks to bed but they provide the same unfailing safe feeling as sheets which allows you to sleep with your legs where ever the hell you want.
yeah i wear socks on hot nights so i can releive my feet of the sheet constraints. but its not monters im afraid of it's any kind of bugs even though i've only ever had like 1 bug in my room despite living in australia.

LOL, everyone i know does it! It's sort of like bonding over a mutual quirk. When I was a kid, I watched too many horror movies and every night I was afraid that something would get me if I wasn't covered by the blanket. I would tuck it under my sides so that every inch of me was protected, including my head so that vampires couldn't bite me. I was way too hot under the covers but there was no way I would ever leave myself vulnerable ;)

i always do this! i'm really tall so i sleep curled up in a ball to keep my legs from going out over the bottom of the bed...
You have to keep your feet covered or the evil man will get you! And your limbs have to stay on the bed or the alligators will get you! The blankets are your friends!

When I was younger I had to convince myself that no one would be able to cut off my legs if they were under the covers. Now, at 18, I still feel that even on the hottest of days, I need to be under the covers so that no one can cut off my legs. O_o

me and my sister used to share a room and we always talked about how we felt safer under the covers. and every time i headr a noise at night i heard her pull the covers over her. this is the best MLIA ever

OMG! ME 2! I don this all the time! I cant sleep with no covers because i dont feel protected and I HAVE TO sleep with all the doors in my room SHUT! If my lights are off i have to run onto the bed and get under the covers quickly so no one takes me! 0_0 ...Im 13 and I am still parinoid by this stuff lol :D
