I grew up in a college town, and one Halloween our doorbell rang and we opened the door expecting to see trickortreaterbut what was in front of our open doorwas another door! Like, a full-on wooden door, that had a sign that said Please knock. So we did, and the door swung open to reveal a bunch of college dudes dressed as really old grandmothers, curlers in their hair, etc, who proceeded to coo over our costumes and tell us we were such cute trick or treaters! One even pinched my cheek. Then THEY gave US candy, closed their door, picked it up and walked to the next house. MLIA

I grew up in a college town (for a while) It was quite interesting, aside from the college kids partying until dawn and the sleepless nights I spent.
We have a big University and a big College. We also have a very small college. Nothing like this has ever happened to me!

This is a really funny story, but its probably a lie. Either way its still funyy. however, its NOT average. And you can say this is a bad post, but its still true. really sick of seeing non-average posts on MLIA. It completely defeats the purpose of the wbsite. This story was great, but definitly not average enough for this website.

That wouldn't work in the Northeast US.
Every house I know has a front door that opens in, but a storm door that opens out. If you put a door in front of the target's door, they wouldn't be able to open the storm door because it would be blocked by yours.
I assume screen doors would cause the same problem in other parts of the country.
